School-led journeys
Secondary schools participate through verified institutional coordinators. Children must not be added to public directories or matched automatically with unverified third parties. Personal data are limited to what is necessary.
Permissions and images
Where applicable, school and parent/guardian permissions must address participation, travel, filming and image publication. A general application checkbox is not a replacement for legally necessary specific authorizations.
Safeguarding
Harassment, exploitation and abuse are prohibited. Named safeguarding leads, escalation protocols, companion rules and personnel training must be implemented before student programmes involving minors.
AI and matching
No invasive automated profiling of children or direct matching with unknown sponsors. Screening and a DPIA must precede novel high-risk processing.
