Purpose of AI
Optional AI can assist with taxonomy, entity name normalization, duplicate detection and research support. AI suggestions cannot prove identity, diplomatic office, academic qualifications or document authenticity.
Human review
Accreditation, admissions and decisions concerning minors or official delegations remain under authorized human responsibility. Suggestions must be checked against primary sources with an appropriate record of provenance and uncertainty.
Data protection
Only data necessary for an authorized task should be sent to an AI supplier, subject to contractual, retention, localization and transfer assessments. Avoid unnecessary special-category information or identification documents in prompts.
AI Act
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 phases in obligations according to use and risk. Human-facing AI must be disclosed where required; further obligations depend on actual deployed functionality. No AI process constitutes a compliance certification.
